Crossover Church about

The church was organized on December 26, 1965 with 103 charter members. They chose the name Temple Baptist Church and voted to cooperate with the Kern County Southern Baptist Association, the California Southern Baptist
Convention, and the Southern Baptist General Convention.

The "Articles of Faith" and church covenant were accepted and the Cooperative program of the Southern Baptist Convention was subscribed to.

Pastor William Few was called as the first full time pastor in October 1966. Property was purchased on 34th Street in
Bakersfield. There were 2 buildings built on that property.
Reverend Few served the church faithfully until April 1979.

Pastor Dale Aycock was called as Pastor and began in
February 1980.

In 1982 the church purchased the former Greeley School
property at 18210 Rosedale Highway. The first service was held there on July 11, 1982 with the new location the church changed their name to First Baptist Church of Rosedale.

Pastor Dale Aycock served until June 2000 at which time he
retired. At the time of his retirement he had completed over 50 years in the pastoral ministry.

In April 2001 the church called Reverend Norm Aycock to be their pastor. He is still serving in that capacity.

In April 2006 the church again had a name change, it was changed to Crossover Church of Rosedale.

In recent years the church auditorium and class rooms have been renovated and Landscaping along with general
improvements are on going. The church is currently planning a 500 seat worship center which should be under construction in the next few months.

Under the leadership of Rev. Few, Rev. Aycock and
Pastor Norm Aycock many people have been saved and
baptized and are serving the Lord in many capacities, here at home and around the world
